Avengers: Endgame Funko Pop! Figures
While I will try my best to keep this post spoiler-free in case you haven’t seen Avengers: Endgame yet, these Funko Pop figures contain a few spoilers of their own, so browse with caution!
Since the release of Avengers: Endgame I have seen it three times and I am still not over it. I’d love to see it again (and again and again) but at this point there is no one left that I can persuade to sit through three hours of me crying into my buttered popcorn and mango Icee.
But with every great Marvel film comes a new release of merch and collectibles, so I went out and bought most of the Endgame Funko Pop figures this past weekend. (There are still a few store exclusive ones that I have my eyes on and may eventually order, and let’s hope there are many more that have yet to be released.)
Here they are, out of their box in all their glory. Enjoy!
(I bought all of these Funko Pops at my local F.Y.E., but I will put some links to the ones that I can find online for those of you who may not have a well-stocked store nearby! Fair warning: it looks like these might be selling out quickly!)
Mjolnir has a special place in my heart. . . and in my car, suspended from my rear view mirror by a leather cord. But I’ll happily admit that Stormbreaker is considerably the greatest weapon in the MCU to date and is in a league of its own.
As we all know, Black Widow’s hair has changed with every film since her introduction in Iron Man 2. My personal favorite Romanoff hairstyle had been the longer, straight blunt cut in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, but not anymore. Natasha’s transition from short and blonde to long, ombre, and usually braided was not only a good storytelling detail but a damn good look for her.
There seemed to be quite a bit of controversy around the release of this Avengers: Endgame War Machine Funko Pop figure. The focus of the big debate was whether or not Rhodey goes straight from his Mark IV in Infinity War to the Mark VI indicated here, or if he dons any other suits in Endgame. I will neither confirm nor deny (and thus spoil) the allegations of this controversy. However, I will say that the patriotic shoulder detailing, the 006 on the thigh, and the shoulder weaponry of this Pop are great!
Funko has continued to impressed me with their intention to the small details, but this Avengers: Endgame Thanos Pocket Pop really takes the cake. The Infinity Stones are correctly colored and ordered on this tiny gauntlet on tiny Thanos’ fist… and look at his little pouty angry face!
(FYI: I intentionally bought the Pocket Pop over the regular, full-sized Funko. Because f*** Thanos, but tiny Thanos was too cute to pass up. I removed the key ring and screw for photo purposes.)
