My Favorite Graphic Tees

Amongst my other various collections, I also have a few stacks of graphic tees. They make up a majority of my wardrobe, and I usually won’t be caught in anything other than a t-shirt and some sort of denim pant (or the occasional leggins + denim jacket combo).

While I have probably 35 in my closet at any time to cycle through, and I regularly swap out the oldest and most worn-and-torn for newer ones, there are a few favorites that I tend to wear more often than others.

Typically, my favorite tees are determined less by character or pop culture reference and more by aesthetic and style. Hopefully you’ll find some outfit inspiration from these, or at least get to know me a little bit more through my own style! Enjoy!

GRAPHIC TEE NO. 1: THE LEGENDARY STAR-LORD

The second I saw this shirt I knew there was no way that I was going to go home without it. The retro/chrome typography paired with that incredible 80s color palette is so dreamy!

And, apparently, this theme worked so well that WeLoveFine made a Star-Lord shirt with an almost identical vibe, but with a more realistic depiction of him instead of this pop version.

They’re so similar that for a brief moment I was concerned that I had purchased one shirt twice. They’re both rad, but between the two, this one wins for me.

GRAPHIC TEE NO. 2: THE SHINING

It actually took me a few trips to F.Y.E. and looking at this shirt several times over before I finally bought it. I love The Shining, obviously, and Saul Bass’ poster is iconic, to say the least. I just wasn’t sure if this shade of yellow was wearable for me. But I finally bought it, knowing I’d ultimately regret it if I didn’t. Turns out I actually look alright in yellow!

GRAPHIC TEE NO. 3: PLAYSTATION

It’s pretty rare that I buy and/or wear a long sleeve tee- in cooler or cold weather I prefer oversized sweatshirts, or I’ll just throw a denim jacket over any of my normal tees.

But this Playstation one was too cool to pass up, and I’ve actually gotten away with wearing it in the Florida summer (as long as it’s at night and/or I’ll be mostly indoors, of course).

GRAPHIC TEE NO. 4: POWER RANGERS

Unlike a lot of my peers now, I never really watched Power Rangers when I was a kid. It just wasn’t something that was popular in my household, or even in my then friendgroup, as far as I can remember. So had I seen this shirt at a store in the mall, I probably would’ve overlooked it.

But I found it on a rack at my local Dirt Cheap for just a couple bucks and couldn’t pass it up. I still don’t know a whole lot about the Power Rangers, but because of the colors and overall vibe of this shirt, it ended up becoming one of my faves!

GRAPHIC TEE NO. 5: GOD OF THUNDER TOUR

Every time I grab this shirt to wear it or fold it to put it away, I always take a second to look at it because I still can’t get over how cool it is. From the graphics, to the color scheme, to the God of Thunder himself, this shirt is just… the coolest.

So those are my five favorite graphic tees (at least for right now)! If you have a fave tee of your own, tweet me a photo or tag me on instagram, because I’d love to see! And let me know if you’d like to see more from my collection, because I have plenty more where these came from!
